It's easy to connect our products together. Just Plug & Play.

Techmar use a low voltage 'Plug & Play' cabling system for their 12v garden and outdoor lighting system. Just plug each garden light fitment (patio light, decking light, post light, wall light) to the low voltage cable connector, screw down and switch on (play)!

Techmar Garden Lighting System Overview

Please Note plug and play connectors are not inter-changeable between brands such as Techmar and in-lite.

Each lamp is supplied with an SPT-1 cable with a weatherproof screw connector. The cables are attached to the main low voltage cable coming from the transformer.

The complete system, from transformer to the fitting itself, is manufactured with screw connectors so no tools will be necessary during installation.

The safety of low voltage and the simplicity of this lighting system makes it possible for anyone to install this lighting themselves.

Techmar Low Voltage Cables & Connectors

low voltage garden lighting - Techmar Plug&Play

Techmar's Plug & Play low voltage outdoor cables can easily be adapted or changed to suit your garden lighting design as your garden matures and grows through the seasons.

Extension cables can be used to connect light fittings located in a remote area or to span distances where no Plug & Play connectors are required. Extension cables are available in 2m, 5m, 6m and 10m lengths.

Three way cable dividers can be used to create multiple cable 'branches' or 'runs'. Try using the cable divider to power clusters of light fittings around your garden features that demand more attention.

Remote controls, motion Sensors (PIR's), timers, and other accessories all come with the same 'Plug & Play' connectors. Simply push them together and screw down the attached cap!

If you're looking to install Techmar's Garden Lights range of high quality light fittings to your existing 12v outdoor lighting system, Plug & Play screw connectors are available for SPT-1 and SPT-3 cable types.

It's easy to create your garden lighting design by following our three easy steps.

Choose your garden lights

Step 1. Choose Your Light Fittings

Browse the Garden Lights range and select your choice of light fittings to illuminate your garden.

We have a great selection of high quality fittings so you're sure to find the lights that will compliment your garden lighting design.

Total up the wattage of all the light fittings as this will determine which transformer you will require.

Step 2. Choose Your 12v Transformer

Using the wattage total from step 1 will help determine which 12v transformer is suitable.

If the total wattage of your garden lights are within 10% of the maximum rating on the transformer you may want to consider a transformer with a larger maximum output to prolong the life of your transformer.

All 12v transformers in the Garden Lights range by Techmar come with a 3 year guarantee.

Step 3. Cables & Accessories

Measure up your garden to calculate which cables you will require to connect your lights up.

Carefully plan where the connections on the 10m and 15m main cables will fall. Choose to add extension cables where no connections for light fittings are necessary.

Choose any accessories you may want to add such as remote control and receivers, timers or sensors.
